Dino Day!!!

Today was the actually Dino day!!! I was in a group with Christine Kaitlin and Kaity (rm 8 Kaity) and we made a movie/picture with talking. It was fun but i was disappointed by the fact we couldn't play Dino dodge ball. It wasn't just Dino day it was also the day we had to wear Philippines color mufti as a fundraiser. Alot of people dressed up in red, white, yellow and blue but some were just in P.E uniform since some events for athletics were cancelled. Over all the day was really fun and i think everyone did an amazing job with their movies.

Book Character Day!!!

Today it was book character day and i was Pikachu!!! I wore my onsie and i was dying because it was so hot! One annoying thing was my tail. I had a really long lightning blot shaped tail. I had so much fun and everyone had a really cool costume including the teachers.

Book Character Week

Yesterday I was a girl who was dead but doesn't want to accept the fact I have died. This was from the book Another. I wasn't the only one who had gone as a character from Another, Christine also did. I was the dead girl and Christine was the person who tells everyone not to mettle with things that doesn't exist. We acted like our characters and it was so fun but we didn't dress up or film it. 

And today I wore a red bow tie which is one of the things a character from Another. Not only did I wear a red bow tie I also filmed with Cait, Stephanie and Natasha a scene from the boy who lost his face. It was really fun and can’t wait to see how it turns out.

Guy Fawkes

I think instead of celebrating fireworks on guy Fawkes it should be on the first day of school. I think that because so then the first day of school will actually be exciting. If it was on the first day of school then I would have something to look forward to. Since guy Fawkes celebrates a guy trying to blow up the English parliament and got killed and barely any one remembers what actually happened, I thought why not on the first day of school. Every first day of school it would be cool if there is firework because then we all have something to look forward to and get used to being at school again. Do you think it’s a good Idea to have fireworks on the first day of school?

My Favourite Art

My favourite art work that I did was my portrait. It took me a really long time to colour it in and also the background. Even though it took me a really long time and the fact that I’m not the best painter I think it turned out really well. It was so fun but quite hard but it all paid off.

This is my paintings. I couldn’t choose which one I was going to post and write about so I did both of them. On the top it a pipe that I tried to copy. I don’t really like the shape and my blending. But on my second painting which is a strawberry I got way better. I think my second painting is way better from my previous one.  On my second painting I really like the writing.

I think I have really gotten better at painting. I have learnt how blend properly and now I’m pretty good at it but I still need a lot of practice. I still need to work on drawing the outline of shapes and also drawing straight lines.  I would like to get better at writing things in paint. I think I improved quite a bit compared to before our art lessons.

ASB Financial Literacy

A.S.B

On Tuesday we had our financial literacy session. A guy that was from A.S.B he talked to us about how we should save money and use our money for things that we need not things we just want but don’t need.

He talked to us about CAR which stands for Clear, Achievable and Realistic. He got three people up in front and they pretended they had different jobs. He said that it doesn't matter what job it is as long as you’re passionate about it. The guy also mentioned things about taxes, interests, employer rights and other things. He said that we should keep a picture of what we want to buy so we can get motivated. There was something he wanted us to remember and that was “Spend some on you and save some too”

After the lesson I realized that I should really change my mind about spending my money straight away. In the future I’m going to save money for something I really want/need. I’m gonna keep a picture in my wallet of what I want so I can remind myself to do the right thing and save my money. I will defiantly remember to “Spend some on you and save some too”.

Holidays!!!

Holidays

In the first week of holidays I went to reading cinemas with some friends. We went to watch scary movie, the people that had came was Sophia, Caitlin, Christine, Alyssa, Nicole and me.

Before I went to Sophia’s house to meet up with the others I had to go to netball practice. I caught a ride with Sophia to her place so they wouldn't need to come to Johnsonville to pick me up. I was the first person to go there so we had some time to spare. After a while Sophia and I decided to get some fish and chips and a deep fried mars bar to share. We counted to three and ate half of the mars bar each.  “OMG it feels like I’m having a heart attack!”  said Sophia. I agreed with her but we both thought it was delicious and that we would eat another one, but not too much from all the fat that was in them.

Soon Caitlin had came. I looked at the window and saw her and even scared her when I shouted out her name.  The other hadn't came yet so we played on Sophia’s Wii. Soon they came one by one and when the last person had came we left to pick up Christine from her house. When everyone was in the car Sophia’s mum dropped us of at reading cinemas in Courtney place. When we got there the first thing that everyone did was try to have a race. The ones who took the stairs got up way before the people on the escalator because there were some people in front of us.

When we had got up we gave our money to Sophia’s house to buy us the tickets. While she was buying them Nicole and Caitlin was bouncing a bouncy ball. Caitlin had bounced it and then it bounced over the railing and feel down hit some teenage boys siting in the food court. Nicole asked if she could have it back but all the boys did was try to throw it in the bin, they tried about five times and still missed! We decided to go down but instead of going to the boys we ran past them and went over to a big fish tank. While we were looking at the fishes we saw a fish faced down into the filter. Everyone thought it was dead so we asked a security guard that was walking by. But apparently it just like the bubbles and that was what they do to get a massage.

We were just talking when we saw one of the guys that was with the guy who threw the bouncy ball away going to the toilets.

 Nicole said to him “Mean. You guys are so mean,”                                       

 “it was my friend not me” he replied.

When he came out Nicole asked him if he owned a the pair of pink gloves on the ground on the floor and we all laughed even him.

When we got our tickets we lined up to get our popcorn and drinks. Christine and I shared on the popcorn so since I paid for popcorn she paid for the drinks. Everyone was so excited to watch the movie. We took our seats and I was beside Christine and Caitlin. I couldn't stop laughing through out the whole  movie and it was the same for Christine and Sophia. At the end of the movie everyone except for me and Sophia thought it wasn't that funny but a bit disturbing. Sophia and I agreed that it was funny but I think it was because we were the only ones who got the jokes. While we were waiting for Sophia’s mum to come get us I garbed a blue M&M and turned myself a smurf. Everyone did what i did and got a blue M&M and wiped it on my lips and they turned blue and that was hoe we turned into smurfs.

Sophia’s mum dropped us off but Caitlin and I went to Sophia's house after because our parents was going to pick us up so it was on the way to soccer practice. When we got there it wasn't that long until Caitlin was picked up so Sophia and I video chatted with Esme a bit. Later that night I saw Caitlin and Nicole again for soccer practice. I had fun during soccer just as much as during the movie because we were mostly talking about the movie.

Over all that day I had so much fun but when I got home I was so tired I didn't want to wake up the next day.  I had so much fun watching scary movie five with just my friends and having a good laugh.The next day I was so tired for the road trip I slept in the car but that’s a whole different story.

Statistics

StaTISTICS  

I got a way better score on the test than  last time.  I think I improved on remembering what the mean, median, range, and mode is… and what is the difference with a bar graph and a histogram. I think having another test really helped me because the lessons reminded me what to do and how to remember it. I however, still need to work on remembering to put the dollar signs on.  I think the lessons really helped me and now I’m more confident with my statistics.

Comic

I have improved on drawing a lot, I have learnt new techniques but I still need to work on shading and doing light presses not hard.  I also need to work on the features like the eyes, mouth and nose. I think my comic is doing fine but I still need to make it better. I love art but I’m not the best at it.

Do you like art and are you good at it?

My name is Anna I’m not from New Zealand. My favorite sports are soccer, netball and dodge ball! Because they are one of the first sports I played in New Zealand and I have met lots of new friends, and see how good they are. I love a Korean show called 런닝맨 (running man. RM for short). I watch is with my sister and we always having a good laugh when we watch the episodes. I love adventure time and regular show because even though it might be for kids I still watch it because it’s really funny and entertaining. I have three gold fishes and they are called Jaws, Bigger-Jaws and big eyes. I LOVE ONE DIRECTION!!!
